Guidance
Annual Education Plan:
Developing an Annual Education Plan will help students take
responsibility for their education, make informed decisions and plan for the
future with the help of parents, teacher-advisers and guidance counsellors.
The plan will include the students' goals for academic achievement and for
learning both inside and outside school. While the annual education plan is
compulsory only for students in Grades 7 to 12, it is crucial that students
in Grades 1 to 6 also set goals to improve their work and to review the
success of their personal efforts and choices. It is important that students
review their annual education plan at least twice a year and include their
parents/guardians in the

Rick Hansen Secondary School:
Students who live east of Creditview Road and south of Britannia
Road may attend Rick Hansen Secondary School. Their Parent Information Night
is on January 19th, 2006 at 7 p.m. More information can be found

Streetsville Secondary School:
Students who live west of Creditview Road may attend Streetsville Secondary
School. Streetsville SS is also the home school for all French-Immersion
students. Their Parent Information Night is on January 18th, 2006 at 7 p.m.

Mississauga Secondary School:
Students living east of Creditview Road and north of Britannia Road may
attend this school. The Parent Information Night is January 12th

West Credit Secondary School:
West Credit offers South Peel's Vocational Program.
This setting is reserved for students functioning three or more years behind
grade level, and who would benefit from programs that further their
development of life skills. Students who apply or qualify will be identified
through the ISRC. The Parent Information Night will be held at February

Regional Enhanced Learning Program for
Enhanced students only:
The Woodlands School:
Students who are deemed exceptional intellectual exceptional through
an I.P.R.C. and wish to continue receiving enhanced support throughout their
secondary school. Students living WEST of Creditview Road wishing to
continue in the ISELP program are eligible to attend The Woodlands. Their
Parent Information Night is scheduled on January 19th, 2006 at 7 p.m. More

Glenforest Secondary School:
Glenforest SS is for students living EAST of Creditview
Road who are identified intellectual-exceptional through an I.P.R.C. and
wish to continue in the ISELP program for high school. The Parent

Regional Secondary School Programs
Cawthra Park Secondary School (Regional Arts Program):
The Regional Arts Program is open to all students. An application
process is required. Students must attend the Parent Information Night on
November 15, 2005 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. where they will pick up their
application form, learn more about the Regional Arts Program and the
application process. Students are required to show a portfolio and set up an
interview date and time through the high school. More information can be

Glenforest Secondary School (International Baccalaureate Program):
The International Baccalaureate Program (I.B. Program) is open to
all students. An application process is required. It is strongly encouraged
that students interested in this program attend the Parent Information Night
on November 24th, 2005 at 7 p.m. where they will learn more about the I.B.

Gordan Graydon Memorial Secondary School (International, Business &
Technology Program):
The International, Business & Technology Program (I.B.T. Program) is
open to all students. An application process is required which consists of
an online and offline process. It is strongly recommended that students
interested in this program attend the Parent Information Night on December 8th
, 2005 at 7 p.m. where they will learn more about the program and have a

Port Credit Secondary School (Strings Program):
Port Credit Secondary School has a tradition of excellence in Music,
which spans the 80 years history of the school. It is in fact the only
Regional Strings Program in Peel. For more information about the program and

Port Credit Secondary School (SciTech Program):
This program is the first program in Peel to offer a science and
technology specialization for secondary school students. It is open to
students interested in science and technology and students who have an
inquiry mind. An application process is required. Students may pick up an
application form at the Parent Information Night on November 29th
, 2005 at 7 p.m. or download the application form from their website. More
